MISSION & VISION STATEMENT


VISION:

    To be a biblically functioning community of small groups
    where no one stands alone, helping people to 
    become fully devoted followers of Christ.

MISSION:

    To help people connect with God and each other by fostering
    authentic relationships where Truth meets
    life and where people are known, loved, served, and celebrated in
    their pursuit of full devotion to Christ.

    Group life is God’s delivery system for all the care He has for
    His people.


  SMALL GROUP OPPORTUNITY
  Are you interested in joining a small group?  Would you like to get to know others at Door of Hope?
  You have an opportunity to come to a "Get connected to community - Life Groups" event.
     Everyone who is interested in joining a small group is welcome to come and see where you can plug in.
     The event is from 6:30-8:30pm at the church on Thursday, June 14.


  SUPPER 8 GROUPS – are an introduction to small group life:  a “Taste of Community”. Supper 8 Groups will
  typically take place in a casual home setting around the dinner table. The group will usually meet once a month for
  four months. This is the first step in experiencing a Biblical community.

  PILOT GROUPS – are the next step in discovering community. It is a “Time of Discovery.” The group begins looking
  at what group life is really like and learns more about how to become a Biblically functioning community. Group
  members will not be added to the pilot group after the first 3 weeks. The group (approximately 8 to 10) will spend 6-9 
  months learning to foster authentic relationships.

  SERVING GROUPS - or ministry teams, “do life together before doing ministry together.” These teams will
  experience all the vision and values of group life. If one is part of a serving group this will be their primary access to a
  caring community. Here serving group members will receive all the care God has for each of them. 

  LIFE GROUPS – are the true living out of the small group experience, where they “do life together”. It is a place where
  deep trusting relationships are formed and where members press in to God, as He meets their needs. It is in this
  group, (the Life Group) that we become available to God and to each other.
